SWEDEN; “We respect Nigeria but we still feel we can beat them.”

Sweden coach Roland Larsson insists his side’s semi-final clash with Nigeria at Rashid Stadium in Dubai on Tuesday will be “a completely different game” to the 3-3 result when the teams met in the group stages.
World Cup debutantes Sweden twice went ahead against three-time champions Nigeria to lead 2-0 and 3-2 before the Golden Eaglets fought back for a draw in Group F last month. It was the only occasion so far in the tournament that Nigeria have looked beatable.
However, Larsson is by no means stepping into this fixture on an overconfident note, having watched Nigeria rack up 20 goals so far.
“It’s another game,” said Larsson of the semi-final. “We had a good first game against them but that’s history. Now we are at the end of the tournament and there are a lot of new aspects to the game like tired players. The best team will be the one that has recovered the best.”
Asked what his side had learned from their first match against Nigeria, Larsson said:
“We learned that if you don’t stay focused against Nigeria for the full 90 minutes, you will make a mistake and they will punish you.
“You have to follow a plan — run, fight and cover — especially to take care of defence. But defence alone doesn’t win games, so we also have to score and we scored three times against Nigeria, so we are satisfied about that. Nigeria have high quality individual skills and very good players. They play very fast passing football and have many tools to score from — the centre, wings, crosses and counters. It’s a complete team for attacking. We respect Nigeria but we still feel we can beat them.”

Chris Brown- JAILED!!!

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Police said they arrested pop music star Chris Brown early Sunday and charged him with felony assault after a violent altercation outside a downtown Washington hotel.

Police spokesman Anthony Clay told AFP that Brown was arrested “around 4:25 yesterday (28/10/2013) in front of the W Hotel,” a chic establishment near the White House.
Chris Brown
Brown, along with a male companion, got into an altercation with a third man, and the incident became violent, according to police.
Brown, 24, and his companion “were arrested and charged with a felony assault. A victim was taken to the hospital and treated for his injuries,” the police spokesman said, adding that the beating victim “had injuries to his face.”
“They are still in our custody,” Clay said of the pop star and his friend, who was described by US media as the singer’s bodyguard.
Brown is the ex-boyfriend of pop singer Rihanna, with whom he has had a tempestuous on-again, off-again relationship.
He was arrested in February 2009 after getting involved in a physical confrontation with Rihanna that left her with a bruised and battered face.
He was required, after pleading guilty in court to the assault, to take part in domestic violence counseling and sentenced to five years’ probation and community service.

Creating The Perfect Day: A New Look At Time Management

Have you ever tried to have a perfect day and it didn’t work out as you planned it?

The good news is that if you can visualize a perfect day, you can make it happen. But you may have to change the way you think. First and foremost, you need to understand that event management, not time management, is the critical factor for creating the perfect day.

As Joey Reiman says in Thinking for a Living, “Time cannot be expanded, accumulated, or mortgaged. It’s the one thing that’s beyond our control. We can only learn to tame the time we have and make it work for us rather than against us.”

If you tame time today, you will transform your opportunities tomorrow. In the process, you will begin to earn more money in less time with less stress.

In order to create and maintain your perfect day, you must also understand the following seven truths about time:
  •  People say all the time that they don’t have time, yet how is that possible when they have all the time there is?
  •  Most people never develop true freedom because they are chained to their confining and dis-empowering paradigms.
  •  The concept of time management is overrated. Event management is the name of the game.
  •  If you don’t know what’s important to you, you will do the things that aren’t.
  •  It doesn’t matter where you work. It matters how you work where you are.
  •  Run your business or it will run you.
  •  Focus on quality – it creates massive freedom.

As you’re thinking more about these time truths, you need to recognize that right now there is a past you, present you, and future you. The past you is the person you think you’ve been up until now. The present you is the person you think you are right now. The future you is the person you think you will become. The present you is really a combination of your past you and future you. This is where each of us differs.

Do you find yourself spending more time wallowing in your past than focusing on your future? If so, then chances are you have become frozen in a past image of yourself and predictable in your thoughts and behavior. You also make what has already happened more important than your future possibilities.

You need to realize that your uniqueness starts in your future you. When you are committed to your future, you are committed to your vision of who you intend to become. If you stay focused on your past, your unique ability will never have the chance to develop.

So, which you are you committed to – the you you are now or the you you can become?

ANOTHER PLANE CRASH AVERTED.

Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport AbujaAnother air disaster was averted at the Nnamdi Azikwe Airport, Abuja on Monday as a Med-View Airlines aircraft from Lagos suddenly took to the air again at the point of landing in Abuja.
The pilot told the passengers that he took to the air again to avoid a collision with another aircraft on the tarmac.
The airline Flight VL2104 took off from the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos at noon and was scheduled to land in Abuja at about 1.05pm.
The pilot had already announced final descent into Abuja and asked all passengers and cabin crew to fasten their seat belts but the pilot suddenly took off to the air again with barely 30 seconds to touch ground.
The plane had 150 passengers on board. After about three minutes of gaining altitude, the pilot announced that he decided to take off again to avoid colliding with an aircraft that was on ground.
He said that after he had been granted clearance to land, it was later discovered that the other aircraft was not fast enough, hence his decision to take off.
The aircraft hovered for another 20 minutes in the air before finally landing at about 1.30pm.
While the drama lasted, the passengers were panic-stricken, especially when the plane entered into turbulent weather on air.
An eyewitness who gave an account said, that among the passengers were five different complete families.
One of the passengers, a nursing mother, who was breastfeeding her son at the time the pilot took off again reportedly withdrew the breast from the boy’s mouth and started praying profusely while the baby’s cry rented the air.
When the plane finally landed, the passengers struggled to disembark.
“Are you still sitting down? Let me rush down in case it will suddenly take off again,” a middle-aged man was heard teasing one of his co-passengers.
The incident came less than a month after an Embraer aircraft operated by Associated Airlines with registration number SCD 361, conveying the corpse of a former Governor of Ondo State, Chief Olusegun Agagu, from Lagos to Akure for burial, crashed on October 3 shortly after take-off at Murtala Mohammed Airport, Lagos.
Thirteen passengers in the crashed plane were killed, including a commissioner in Ondo State, Deji Falae.

Kim Kardashian Is Engaged to Kanye West!

Kim Kardashian got the birthday surprise of a lifetime.

The E! star is engaged to longtime love Kanye West, the rapper popping the question in front of their friends and family at AT&T Park in San Francisco.
Kanye, whose Yeezus Tour touches down in nearby San Jose tomorrow night, rented out the stadium for the occasion. (For all the details on Kim & Kanye's surprise engagement, tune into E! News Tuesday at 7 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.)
And here we thought Kim's 33rd birthday bash at Tao this Friday was going to be the major event of the week. Kanye sure figured out a way to top last year's chocolate cake!

But remember, that's how these kids roll—with style and spontaneity. It was just last December that baby North's proud papa revealed to an arena full of people in Atlantic City that he and Kim were expecting a child together.
They welcomed their daughter on June 15 and it's been nothing but onward and upward for the happy couple ever since.
Kim laid low for a couple of months, keeping both herself and North out of the public eye, but once she was back in the spotlight, it was as if she'd never left. And not long after Kim and Kanye were spotted out toting a baby carrier, North West made her long-awaited debut in August when daddy showed off a picture of her on Kris Jenner's talk show.
Asked by Kris if he remembered it being "love at first sight" when he first saw Kim years ago, Kanye said, "Oh yeah, definitely."
The couple have actually been the subject of marriage rumors for over a year, with Kris telling E! News all the way back in August 2012 that the family "adored" Kanye and "we think they make an amazing couple. We just want them to be happy."
PHOTO: Kim shares pic of 15-carat engagement ring
"[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don't have this sense of urgency about it," the twice-divorced Kim herself said in the February 2013 issue of Cosmopolitan. "I have this best friend who understands me and helps me through all my tough experiences, and vice versa, you know? It just feels like this is it for me."
